From the hand of its creator e supported by the whole Sánchez-Vicario family, Coliflow disguises himself for his presentation at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona, a legendary environment closely linked to his family. A new brand of cauliflower-based pizzas born with the support of nutrition doctor, dietician-nutritionist and pharmacist Laura Isabel Arranz, “because it is a new generation of pizzas that has come to change their perception and combine nutrition with the pleasure of eating itliving the experience with all the flavor you expect from a crispy pizza, taking care of your health ».
Alba Sánchez-Vicario wanted to present her project in such an important context for her family, the Sánchez-Vicario saga, as is the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona, taking advantage of the celebration of the emblematic Conde de Godó Trophy: ” I am thrilled to be able to introduce you to this project in which I have invested a lot of time and effort to offer a nutritionally better and delicious alternative to the pizzas that are currently on the shelves, “he said.
“Coliflow is a personal project born after spending time in Los Angeles, where I had my first contact with this type of product. On my return I realized that this option did not exist in Spain, while in Europe the offer was really scarce, which prompted me to start experimenting and launch the product that I present to you today, ”he explained.
Coliflow, which has a Nutriscore A rating in its cauliflower base and vegetable pizza recipe, as well as an improved nutritional profile in its four cheese pizza recipe, provides a 30% less calories and 50% less fat and less salt than a normal pizza. With up to 50% less wheat flour and produced in an artisan workshop with a stone oven, Coliflow pizzas are made with the equivalent of 120 grams of fresh cauliflower from the base, slow fermentation mother yeast and extra virgin olive oil, as well as top quality raw materials, with ingredients such as natural tomato or 100% natural mozzarella without whey.
This new brand of cauliflower-based pizzas is born with a view based on the properties of this vegetablenaturalness and nutrition, which make it possible to introduce pizza as an integral part of a diet and healthy habits, and which is aimed at a very transversal audience – from families with children, to people who take care of themselves, including vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians – but with a common goal: to take care of their diet without giving up the fun.
Coliflow is the commitment of Alba Sánchez-Vicario that was born after more than two years of work in the R&D department and which aims to lead a growing market through a new generation of value-added pizzas.
The brand, born with a clear vocation to projection at the European leveloffers a first range of pizzas consisting of 3 references with a recommended price between 2.99 and 3.99 euros. Customers will be able to find Coliflow in both the chilled and frozen section. Likewise, this portfolio will be expanded throughout 2022 thanks to the inclusion of new references.
Alba and Coliflow
Alba Sánchez-Vicario has always worn a very healthy lifestyle, taking care of their diet and playing sports. However, in his food routine there was no space to enjoy pizza regularly for various reasons: first, because it is a particularly caloric dish, rich in fats and sugars; and later, due to some digestive problems, the pizza was something that made her feel very sick, feeling bloated and heavy the next day.
During a student exchange in Los Angeles, in his senior year of college, he discovered something that was absolutely fashionable among the Angelenos and was found in virtually every supermarket: cauliflower pizza. A nice discovery that allowed him to savor the pleasure of eating pizza because, in addition to being very easy to prepare, staying with the cauliflower did not feel guilty about the excess calories and fatit was good for him to let him perform at the same level the next day and besides, it was as delicious as any pizza.
With the arrival of Covid-19, he decided to return to Spain to overcome the imprisonment. That was then he saw an opportunity because in Spain it was a product that practically did not exist. It was then that he decided to experiment and find the best recipe that was as healthy as it was tasty. He began testing the product among his friends and through the delivery and in two weekends he shipped over 400 pizzas. After this first success, you decided to create Coliflow: a nutritionally better and tasty alternative to pizzas sold in supermarkets, perfect for all the public: families, children, athletes.
